The SLT's are the second truck release from Dragan Boards, and our first to be injection moulded. These represent a huge step in both quality and design, and are the biggest launch to date. Our Team have been designing, testing and perfecting these throughout the whole of last year. Moving away from 3D printing to injection moulded plastic meant we had to get the shape just right, with our Pro team finding the perfect balance across all types of slides n grinds so that you can:
Ride Better. Ride SLT's.
The Pro team tested a whole host of different materials for the SLT's before settling on the production version. The performance of these will blow you mind. The impact resistant composite gives you a fast slide on coping and rails, all while opening up all types of concrete that have aluminium trucks sticking you right into a faceplant.

Finally the SLT's are going keep you popping high and stomping landings hard as the material is inherently lightweight in nature, but also super tough. We've thrown these off gaps, stress tested them and hit them with hammers for good measure.

TLDR. The shape and design leaves no option to upgrade your wheels and bearings beyond the stock options provided without having to use power tools to modify the trucks.
I understand why these are like this, and fixed in place, but the slight bevel towards the outside forces you Into size 65mm wheels where as if it had been designed more flat you could go as high as 70-71mm wheels with out hitting the deck and have plenty of options to chose from in regards to durometer, contact patch, and bearing set. I understand there needing to be enough material to provide structural integrity but had it just been built more flat where the wheels are and add material inwards towards center I feel this could’ve been resolved.
I also had to use a dremel tool to slightly buzz down the poles on one side of each truck because the new bearings I bought wouldn’t slide all the way down without modification. This was also disappointing and a flaw I feel like in the craftsmanship. You sell a product that’s almost 200$ but you can’t equip it with bearing worth more than the cheap 7$ stock bearing it comes with. This I feel like you almost certainly had to be aware of before selling this product as a whole. At least create more options for your customer if you’re going to bottle neck them into your brand of products.
Wether or not you feel like these designs and stock options (wheel size, durometer, bearings, ect ect.) are made intentionally this way by the maker for “optimal performance” If you want people to take pride in your product they should be able to upgrade and improve it to there personal liking, not just refurbish it to its basic stock options..
I still really enjoy and love riding but the amount of effort It takes and lack of option for improvement is rather disappointing.
All I wanted was some slightly fatter, slightly softer wheels, and a good pair of bearings to smooth out the ride in my bumpy a$$ neighborhood.
Hi Damon! Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We appreciate your feedback and understand your concern about the design of our SLT Streetboard Trucks.
The reason for the shape is to provide a better contact surface for nose and tailslides. However, you can still fit bigger wheels as long as they are off-centered. We recommend and use the Kiste Race 78mm 76a wheels, which fit perfectly on the cruiser without modification. If you want to use bigger wheels, you might need elevators in the trucks.
Regarding the issue with the bearings, we haven't had any problems with other brands, but we would love to get more information from you. Please email us at info@draganboards.com. Thank you for your support and happy riding!
